I loved reading your Blogs about your husbands and decided to join in. Hope you enjoy@

What is his name? Marvin Ludlow

How long have you been married? 43 years in June

How long did you date? We “dated” as friends for about a year. We had a large group of friends in our ward. This group did a lot of things together, but we dated outside of that group. Dad and I would ask each other to attend something when we were not dating someone else at the time. At the end of the spring quarter at the U of U, I knew that I was feeling more that “friendly” towards him. We always had such a good time together – lots of laughs, finishing each other’s sentences – anyway, I had decided that I would cool the relationship because I didn’t want to get hurt. However, at that point he asked me to his fraternity’s big formal dance. I really wanted to go to that dance, so I said “yes.” After that we did not date others and the relationship grew quickly.

How old is he? He is 65

Who said "I love you first?" He did – in my back yard while sitting on the swing.

Who is taller? He thinks he is ½ inch taller than me, but the truth is that we are about the same (maybe I am a little taller – but don’t tell either of us)

Who can sing better? Marv has a great voice but does not use it much. I love to sing and do ok

Who is smarter? No question – Marv by leaps and bounds.

Who does the laundry? I DO. Does he know how to turn on the washer? ?????.

Who pays the bills? After 36 years of marriage he took over the bill paying.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I do – and the middle, etc. etc..

Who mows the lawn? Marv does, of course, however I used to do it once in a while.

Who cooks dinner? I DO, I DO, I DO – however he is great at getting food for himself when he wants it – But I cook.

Who drives? Marv

Who is more stubborn? Stubborn? I don’t know about stubborn – he is the most consistent – enough to wear me down sometimes – I give in. I certainly am the most difficult to live with – he is very patient and kind with me.

Who kissed who first? I think it was on our 18th date – and it was just a little thank-you peck for helping him with something. Then it was several dates later that it was for real. You need to remember that we were “great friends.” The Lord had to hit us with lightening to make us see each other in a different light.

Who asked who out first? He did – actually I called him to sell him a ticket to a stake dance and he said that he would buy one if I went with him. We went to the dance and then didn’t see each other until the dance was over.

Who proposed? We talked about marriage plans a lot. I think he actually did propose officially one night because we were giving him a bad time because he had not up to that time.

Who has more siblings? Both of us come from a family of three boys and one girl. I am the third in the family and he is the oldest.

I didn't know all those stories about your dating life. I'd love to hear the whole story. Maybe when you're here next week!
